PORT ANGELES — “Hairstories: Personal Narratives of Oppression and Identity through Hair” is the next show to unfold on the Allé Stage at Studio Bob, 118½ E. Front St., on Friday.

Spoken-word artists Angie Huckstep and Clay M. River will present an evening of personal stories and live monologues — all about hair — at 8 p.m. with a $5 cover charge.

“Free Haircut for Your Story,” a documentary-style video recorded in a public park, is one element of the show. In it, people talk about their experiences with gender and racial oppression through hair — while getting a haircut.
