PA workshop aims to help nonprofits

PORT ANGELES — A workshop to help nonprofit organizations apply to receive donations from federal employees is set for 1 p.m. today.
The workshop on the Combined Federal Campaign will be at Peninsula Behavioral Health’s multipurpose room, 118 E. Eighth St.
The Combined Federal Campaign, or CFC, is the only authorized solicitation of federal government employees in their workplaces on behalf of approved charitable organizations.
The deadline for applications from 501(c)3 organization is 4 p.m. April 1 to be eligible for the 2013 campaign this fall.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

The Greater Olympic Peninsula CFC covers federal employees in Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, and Mason Counties and raised more than $1.9 million in 2012.
Individual organizations must use the local independent organizations and members of federations application.
