A variety of demonstrations was offered on the 16th annual Clallam County Farm Tour, which showed off six farms just a few miles from one another Saturday.
Those on the one-day self-guided tour organized by the Clallam County’s Washington State University Extension office could see how to make butter, prune trees, cook up several types of meals and try their hands at spinning fiber.
Live music, lunch by local chefs and hayrides also were featured on the tour of the Lazy J Tree Farm, 225 Gehrke Road; Freedom Farm, 493 Spring Road; Trade Winds Alpacas, 1315 Finn Hall Road; Dungeness Valley Creamery, 1915 Towne Road; Jardin du Soleil Lavender, 3932 Sequim-Dungeness Way; and Nash’s Organic Produce, 1865 E. Anderson Road.
Admission to the tour was $10 per vehicle and free for bicyclists.
On Saturday evening, Nash’s hosted its annual Harvest Celebration community potluck and barn dance.
