Hearing for woman charged with vehicular homicide postponed until Friday

PORT ANGELES — Amber D. Steim’s court appearance that was scheduled for today has been postponed until Friday.
The 24-year-old Port Angeles woman is charged with vehicular homicide in connection with a March 6 wreck that killed Ellen J. DeBondt, 44.
A Clallam County Superior Court administrator said Steim’s attorney struck the hearing that was scheduled for 3 p.m. today. The item remained on the court calendar on Thursday morning, but the hearing has been moved to Friday.
Deputy Prosecuting Attorney John Troberg said Friday’s hearing will be an arraignment on a charge of witness tampering.
The hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. in Clallam County Superior Court.
