NEAH BAY — Fallen trees were blocking both directions of state Highway 112 east of Neah Bay on Sunday.

The state Department of Transportation closed the road between Mileposts 4 and 5 at 5:30 p.m.

It wasn’t immediately known how many trees had fallen or how long the closure would last.

“Our crews are en route,” DOT spokeswoman Kelly Stowe said Sunday evening.

The state highway is the only paved road to Neah Bay.
