Primary election voter guide to appear with Friday/Saturday editions — except in Sequim and West End

THE NORTH OLYMPIC Peninsula’s only primary election voter guide will appear with many — but not all — Friday/Saturday copies of the Peninsula Daily News.

The Aug. 18 primary is unusual in that only voters living within the city limit of Port Angeles, Districts 2 and 3 of the Port of Port Townsend and Brinnon’s Fire District No. 4 will be voting in the all-mail election because their jurisdictions either have more than two candidates for office or, in the case of Brinnon, a tax levy will be decided.

As a result, the 2009 Primary Election Voter Guide will appear with Friday’s PDNs circulated in Port Angeles and in East Jefferson County. No guides will appear with the paper in the Sequim-Dungeness Valley or the West End.

Extra Voter Guide copies will be available at no charge at the county courthouse and at PDN offices in Port Angeles and Port Townsend.
