OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Olympic National Park’s Sol Duc Road will open Sunday to the Eagle Ranger Station, allowing access to several trailheads and the Salmon

Cascades viewpoint, a park spokesperson said Friday.

Heavy snow still covers the campground and upper section of road and the road will remain gated at the ranger station until further notice.

The Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort remains closed, and is scheduled to

open for the season on May 1.

The Heart O’ The Hills, Elwha, Mora, Ozette, Hoh and Kalaloch campgrounds

are open.

More information about Olympic National Park roads and campgrounds is

available at the park’s Web site, www.nps.gov/olym .
