Two Jefferson County high schools to hold graduation ceremonies

High school seniors in Chimacum and Quilcene will participate in commencement ceremonies on Saturday.

About 100 seniors will graduate from Chimacum High School at 1 p.m. in a ceremony in the McCurdy Pavilion at Fort Worden State Park.

Doors will open at noon.

Speakers will include Brianne Rowan, valedictorian; Jordan Browning, salutatorian; Amanda Johnson, class president; Rania Peters, senior class speaker; Cody Othoudt, faculty-selected speaker and teacher Tony Haddenham.

A combined commencement for the Quilcene High School and Crossroads Community School will be at 2 p.m. in the school gym at 294715 US Highway 101.

The guest speaker will be Pam Mack, senior class advisor.
