Ferry cancellations this week in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — Low tides and ebb currents have prompted cancellation of some morning sailings of the Steilacoom II today through Thursday, Washington State Ferries announced Saturday.

Today’s and Monday’s scheduled 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. departures from Port Townsend have been canceled, as well as the 8:45 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. departures from Keystone on Whidbey Island.

Extra sailings are planned today at 9:50 a.m. from Port Townsend, and at 10:35 a.m. from Keystone.

Extra sailings on Monday will be at 6:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. from Port Townsend, and at 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. from Keystone.

No extra sailings are scheduled for the rest of the week.

One scheduled departure from each terminal will be canceled on Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. from Port Townsend, and 10:15 a.m. from Keystone.

On Wednesday, the 9:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. scheduled sailings from Port Townsend, and the 10:15 a.m. and 12 noon sailing from Keystone, are canceled

Thursday’s scheduled 11:15 a.m. departure from Port Townsend, and the 12 noon departure from Keystone are both canceled.

No other cancellations due to tides are listed for the rest of the month.
