That’s what environmentalists, economists, politicians and private citizens have signed up to do by banding together in the Puget Sound Partnership.

Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce members Monday heard Clallam County Commissioner Steve Tharinger, D-Dungeness, and Port of Port Angeles Commissioner John Calhoun — both of whom wear other hats with the Partnership — describe both the mission and the resources to do it.

They were joined by John Cambalik, the Partnership’s liaison to residents of the Strait, and John H. Miller, director of the county’s Department of Community Development.
