Low tides and unfavorable currents will cause cancellations of ferry service between Port Townsend and Keystone starting Friday morning and lasting through Tuesday.

The scheduled 6:30 a.m. sailing from Port Townsend on both Friday and Saturday will be canceled, as will the 8 a.m. departures on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The 9:30 a.m. departure also will be canceled Tuesday.

No replacement runs are scheduled.

The normal Port Townsend-Keystone schedule will return Wednesday and continues until a new round of tidal cancellations occurs June 19-25.

That cancellation schedule as well as other information are available on the Washington State Ferries Web site, www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries.
