Weekdays vs. weekends? What’s your opinion?

SHOULD THE STATE Department of Transportation and Hood Canal Bridge contractor close the North Olympic Peninsula’s lifeline to the Puget Sound area during weekdays or weekends this summer?

A consortium of chambers of commerce and visitor agencies prefers weekdays, but the Transportation Department is suggesting weekends.

The contractor, Kiewit-General Construction Co., needs two 78-hour periods without traffic to change approaches as part of the floating bridge’s $284 million rehabilitation project.

What is your opinion — weekdays, weekends or a combination of the two? And what are your preferred dates among those suggested?
