PORT ANGELES — Coast Guard Capt. William Peterson, who has commanded Group/Air Station Port Angeles for three years, will turn over his command to a new officer next month.
On June 30, Peterson will be relieved by Capt. Mark D’Andrea, currently executive officer of Air Station Clearwater, Fla.
Peterson will take over as head of Coast Guard aviation in Washington, D.C., Lt. Cmdr. Jim Finta said.
“It’s an extremely prestigious position with a lot of responsibility,” Finta said Thursday.
