PORT HADLOCK –Though a new roof sits over his head, Sheriff Mike Brasfield still has a list of improvements needed for his department.

While giving a tour of the new sheriff’s administration office in Port Hadlock, Brasfield said the No. 1 change needs to be more deputies on the roads.

Brasfield spoke to a group of men and women from Marrowstone Island.

The sheriff tries to keep three deputies patrolling the county at all times.
