Citizens group Sequim First filed the suit last September against the city of Sequim and AVB Development Partners, an Arizona-based developer proposing a 395,000-square-foot shopping center near West Washington Street and River Road.
Site plans for the center include a Home Depot home improvement warehouse.
Sequim First is asking Superior Court Judge George Wood to order an independent environmental impact statement.
The hearing will be in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
