CLALLAM BAY — A mini crime spree has streaked through Clallam Bay again, this time hitting three businesses, a home and a Presbyterian church.

Sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning, a burglar broke into the buildings and took money. In some cases the culprit ate food or bathed, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Department report.

A car was also stolen and later found crashed, Det. Sgt. Nick Turner said.

Victims say break-ins in Clallam Bay are rare.

“We’ve never had a problem in 20-some years of business here,” said Robert Cain, owner of Cain’s Marine Service, which was burglarized at 4:21 a.m. Tuesday.

Cain said his till registered the exact time it was opened.
