Port Angeles: Paddle Journey support boat runs aground

PORT ANGELES — A support boat for the 2003 Paddle Journey ran aground on rocks Wednesday night west of Ediz Hook, damaging the vessel.

The 26-foot Bayliner lost power and drifted onto rocks on the beach a quarter-mile west of the Daishowa America Ltd. paper mill about 7:30 p.m., the U.S. Coast Guard reported.
