PORT TOWNSEND — Tim Murray stood on the lawn in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse chanting “USA, USA, USA” and waving a picture of his son, Brandon.

The Brinnon man, whose son is a Marine serving in Iraq, was one of nearly 75 who turned out for a pro-war demonstration Wednesday at the courthouse.

Murray, his wife, Vikki, and their two other children, Jake and Ruby, also listened to speeches and prayers during the hour-long demonstration of support.

“It’s great to see the veterans here,” Mrs. Murray said.
