Sequim: School Board votes down all-day kindergarten proposal

SEQUIM — Kindergarten students won’t have the chance to attend all-day classes during the 2003-2004 school year.

The Sequim School District board Monday night defeated two proposals which would have allowed all-day kindergarten classes to begin in the fall.

All five School Board members voted against a plan to have two all-day classes at Greywolf and Helen Haller elementary schools. That proposal was tabled during a meeting a month ago.

A proposal for one full-day class at each of the schools was also defeated, but by a narrower margin, 3-2.
