Port Angeles: Adult-oriented Mardi Gras party Saturday night

The Port Angeles Downtown Association’s Mardi Gras festivities on Saturday afternoon stress family-oriented activities.

Adults looking for more Mardi-zest in their pre-Lenten festivities will find a true Carnival atmosphere Saturday night in a mask and costume ball in Port Angeles.

A group of Peninsula artists and friends calling themselves the Angels of Decadence have organized “Carnival 2003 — Mardi Gras Madness” in the ballroom of the Elks Naval Lodge, First and Lincoln streets on Saturday night.

Doors open at 8 p.m., and the festivities in the smoke-free party begin an hour later.
