Port Townsend: Businesswoman charged with theft

PORT TOWNSEND — A 55-year-old business owner was jailed on charges of first-degree theft and forgery.

Kathryn Rose Parker, 288975 U.S. Highway 101, Quilcene, was arrested for allegedly taking $5,000 from Hiromi Valois, a Pierce County business owner.

Parker owns the Magic Bean in Glen Cove outside Port Townsend.

On Monday, Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Tom Majhan ordered Parker held in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Majhan scheduled her arraignment for at 8:30 a.m. March 7.
