QUILCENE — Quilcene High School has been chosen to receive a “high-tech high” grant from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

The $75,000 grant will allow the district to personalize instruction and technical training, Quilcene High School Principal Pamela Roberts said.

“The overall vision is to provide project-based instruction, personalized to the individual, that creates hands-on experience for high school students,” Roberts said.

With only 110 students, Quilcene High School is the smallest of the five schools statewide receiving high-tech high grants this fall.
