PORT ANGELES — The future of downtown parking will be discussed by the City Council during its 6 p.m. work session Tuesday.

City Economic Development Director Tim Smith is expected to discuss with the council the first part of a Ravenhurst Development Inc. study that recommends two downtown parking garage options costing $5.5 million.

The meeting will take place in Council Chambers of City Hall, 321 E. 5th St.

Smith said contrary to what ferry and parking business representatives have said, “The city has a parking plan.”
