PORT ANGELES — The Carnegie Library revitalization project contract won’t be awarded for at least two weeks.

During a meeting Tuesday, the City Council decided to delay the project until officials can study the financial impacts of two proposed contract alternatives on the city budget.

The council will hold a special meeting to study the issue and possibly award the contract July 30 in Council Chambers of City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St. A meeting time has yet to be announced.

Carnegie Library project bids were opened July 2 and the lowest responsible bidder at $1.1 million was Hoch Construction, Inc. of Port Angeles.
