Peninsula: Medicaid, Hood Canal meetings today

Proposed changes to Medicaid — including co-payments and monthly premiums — get an airing tonight at a state Department of Social and Health Services-sponsored meeting at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m.

Also tonight, state Department of Transportation officials will show plans and drawings for the $205 million Hood Canal Bridge renovation project.

This meeting begins at 5 p.m. in the Guy Cole Convention Center in Carrie Blake Park, 202 N. Blake Ave., Sequim, with state bridge engineer Patrick Clarke giving a presentation at 6:15 p.m.
