Port Angeles: Meeting Wednesday on conference center

The Port Angeles Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Downtown Forward Committee will hold a joint meeting to review developer Randal Jay Ehm’s “due diligence” information on his proposed Oak Street waterfront hotel/conference center.

The meeting, open to the public, begins at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.

The Conference Center Review Committee, the main group reviewing the proposal, last week concluded that Ehm had “substantially met” the city’s requirements.

The City Council meets on the issue June 11.
