Two Forks teen-agers are awaiting charges in a Thurston County detention center after they allegedly stole a sport-utility vehicle in their hometown and eventually crashed in Lacey.

En route, the teens allegedly led police on a high-speed chase down Interstate 5 north from Olympia.

The boys, 15 and 16 years old, were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of eluding the Washington State Patrol and stealing firearms from a Forks residence.

Neither of the teens was injured in the crash, Lacey Police Lt. John Suessman said Thursday.
