Port Angeles: High-schooler signs letter of intent to play soccer at Oregon State

PORT ANGELES — Liz Money will become the first Port Angeles High School student to sign a letter-of-intent to play soccer at a Division I college.

Money, an 18-year-old senior, is receiving a four-year scholarship to Oregon State University in Corvallis. She receives an 80 percent scholarship the first year and then a full-ride the last three years.

Her parents are Rick and Dyanna Money.

Money will be honored during a special ceremony at halftime of Saturday night’s boys basketball game against archrival Sequim in the Roughrider gym.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. Halftime will be about 8-8:15 p.m.

Official signing day for soccer is Wednesday.
