Peninsula: Nicotine Anoymous holds first meeting Thursday

The first meeting of Nicotine Anonymous, a new support group for smokers trying to quit, will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Carmichael’s Grill, 2933 E. U.S. Highway 101, Port Angeles.
The group was started in Port Angeles by Gene M. — the group doesn’t use last names.
Nicotine Anonymous is an international group. Until now the closest chapter was in Poulsbo.
“The only requirement to come is a desire to quit smoking — or to stop chewing tobacco,” said Gene.
