Clallam: Prosecutors accept pay cut to keep colleague’s job

Clallam County prosecutors have agreed to a 5 percent pay cut and corresponding 5 percent reduction in hours next year to avoid laying off one of their colleagues.

County Administrator Dan Engelbertson said the agreement amends the prosecutors’ labor contract to allow individual prosecutors to take the voluntary pay and workweek reductions.
