Port Angeles: Cruise ship returns today

Cruise West’s Spirit of Oceanus makes its second of five weekly stops at Port Angeles City Pier this morning.
The 295-foot, Seattle-based liner is making Port Angeles a port o’ call during its weekly Northwest Waterways Cruise from Puget Sound to northern Vancouver Island and Victoria this month.
Last week’s inaugural visit featured a red-carpet welcome coordinated by the Port Angeles Chamber of Commerce. Chamber officials said Monday they plan another welcoming celebration when the Oceanus ties up between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. today.
Passengers will then tour downtown Port Angeles, Hurricane Ridge and Ediz Hook aboard chartered buses.
The Spirit of Oceanus is due to depart at 6 p.m.
