A Port Townsend man seriously injured in a two-car collision Saturday was downgraded from serious to critical condition Sunday afternoon, according to a nursing supervisor at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

His wife was listed in stable condition at Jefferson General Hospital.

Ralph Anderson, 87, and his 86-year-old wife, Jane, were traveling southbound on Discovery Road at the Four Corners intersection with state Route 20 about 10:45 a.m. Saturday when their car collided with a westbound car carrying Edna Kuehn, 80, and Karl Kuehn, 90, both of Chimacum. The Kuehns were treated and released from Jefferson General.
