LETTER: A tip of the hat to Clallam County’s first responders

I recently had a chance to see our first responders in action.

My wife and I saw an older woman sitting with two dogs across Old Olympic Highway from our house.

We went to her to see if we could help.

She was in trouble.

A driver stopped and called 9-1-1.

Two emergency-medical-technician vehicles and a Clallam County sheriff’s deputy arrived.

They took over and handled the problem in a very professional manner.

What a response.

I take my hat off to those men and women, and they make me proud to live in Clallam County.
