Why do you exist? Traveler to tell of responses to his question Saturday in Port Angeles

PORT ANGELES — Why do you exist?

The Hurricane Ridge Winter Sports Education Foundation’s Second Saturday Speaker Series will feature a presentation by Kirby Kory, who asked just that question and received many answers.

The lecture will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Wine on the Waterfront, 115 E. Railroad Ave.

A donation of $10 is suggested. The first 20 attendees will receive Cliff Bars.

Kory of Stillwater, Minn., is a skier, writer, adventurer, photographer and environmental scientist.

After graduating from college in May 2017, he set off on a bicycle journeying down the West Coast of the United States pulling a trailer and a surfboard carrying the words, “Why do you exist?”

Kory met hundreds of people who responded to his question.

His talk will include photos, stories and how the many people he met influenced him on his journey.

Proceeds will benefit the sports education foundation.
