Bazaars warm up holiday spirit this week

North Olympic Peninsula holiday bazaars offer hand-made gifts and Christmas decorations this week.

PORT ANGELES

Christmas Cottage

PORT ANGELES — Gifts and hand-painted ornaments will be offered for the holidays at The Original Christmas Cottage today through Sunday.

The bazaar featuring handmade items by local artists will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St.

Participants are invited to bring cameras to take pictures with Santa from noon to 3 p.m. today and Sunday. Baked goods also will be on sale. Pets and children are welcome.

Donations are urged for the Captain Joseph House Foundation.

Christmas Cottage is a group of crafters and artists who host The Original Christmas Cottage Craft Show each November at the Vern Burton center.

Angelic Festival

PORT ANGELES — The Queen of Angels Angelic Festival is set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Saturday at the Queen of Angels gym.

For sale at the gym at 209 W. 11th St. will be toys, country store items, crafts, a granny’s corner, fair trade items and white elephants.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with Reubens and free coffee. From noon to 3 p.m. Saturday will be free crafts and cookie decorating for kids.

Participants are invited to bring cameras to take pictures with Santa.

Arts fundraiser

PORT ANGELES — The Olympic Medical Center Auxiliary will host a sale of works by local artist Jeff Becker.

Becker’s work includes handmade ceramic tiles, fused glass, jewelry, anodized aluminum, horseshoe nail art, painted scarves and cards.

Items will be on sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the east lobby of Olympic Medical Center, 939 N. Caroline St.

A sale also is set Wednesday and Thursday at Olympic Medical Center’s Service Building, 850 N. Fifth St., Sequim.

Fifty percent of the purchase price will benefit Olympic Medical Center for medical equipment, scholarships and local community projects.

SEQUIM

Holiday sale

SEQUIM — St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will host a holiday sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today and Saturday.

The sale at 121 E. Maple St. will feature handmade crafts, homemade baked goods, a silent auction and a raffle.

Christmas Lane Fair

SEQUIM — Christmas Lane Fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church.

More than 40 local crafters, a bake table and Holly Daze Cafe featuring chili, soup and pie are planned at the church at 100 S. Blake Ave.

Show and sale

SEQUIM — Pacific Northwest Wood Artisans will host its annual show and sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

It will be held at the Sequim Elks Lodge, 143 Port Williams Road with displays, demonstrations and sales.

David Johannessohn will be the featured artist for the show.

Holiday Bazaar

SEQUIM — The Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s Hospital will hold its 11th annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Sequim Prairie Grange

The bazaar at the grange hall at 290 Macleay Road will feature crafts by more than 30 local artists.

Mrs. Claus’ kitchen will serve loaded baked potatoes, chili, homemade pies and beverages.

St. Luke’s Bazaar

SEQUIM — St. Luke’s will host its 62nd annual Holiday Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church

Heirloom crafts, quilts, ornaments and decorations, plants, 18-inch doll clothes will be for sale at the church at 525 N. Fifth Ave., along with a raffle and bake sale.

A hot luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It will include pulled pork sandwiches, cole slaw, barbecue beans, cheesecake dessert and beverages.

NEAH BAY

Christmas Bazaar

NEAH BAY — The Makah Museum will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The bazaar will include local artwork and other items from more than 20 artists including handmade carvings, basketry, jewelry, beaded items, baked goods and other crafts.

Also featured are handmade decorations by students from Neah Bay Elementary School.

There will be a free art activity for supervised children from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the museum’s classroom.

There will be prize drawings throughout the day; tickets for the drawing can be obtained at the door with a non-perishable food donation to the Makah Food Bank.

Holiday Bazaar

FORKS — A Holiday Bazaar is set form 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.

The bazaar will be at the Community Room at Catherine of Siena, 351 Founders Way.
