Sports: Sequim edges Port Angeles in swim meet

PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles Roughriders won 10 of 12 events but archrival Sequim used a deeper team to win a competitive nonleague boys swimming meet Tuesday at William Shore Memorial Pool.

The Wolves edged out the Riders 87-81 in the teams’ first meet of the year.

Sequim won the 200-yard freestyle relay and Hans Hendricksen took the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 18.33 seconds for the Wolves’ two victories.
