FORKS — One person was flown to a Seattle hospital after a rollover collision on U.S. Highway 101 east of Forks.
Wendy Miramontes Ayala, 37, of Forks was driving westbound at milepost 215 on Highway 101 in a 2003 Ford F-150 about 11:47 p.m. on Tuesday when the truck left the roadway to the right, rolled and came to rest in the westbound ditch, the State Patrol said.
Ayala was flown to Harborview Medical Center, where she was listed Wednesday in critical condition, the hospital’s nursing supervisor said.
Ayala was not wearing a seatbelt, and drugs or alcohol were suspected to be involved, the State Patrol said.
The truck was totally destroyed.
The case remains under investigation.
