Two hurt in ATV wreck

PORT ANGELES — Two males were injured and were to be taken to Olympic Medical Center by air after their all-terrain vehicle went off a road in the mountains above Carlsborg.

The wreck on a mountain trail happened at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the area around Lost Mountain Road above Carlsborg.

One person required CPR, Clallam County Sgt. John Keegan confirmed.

First responders were still trying to get the patients out of the area as of 4:45 p.m.

Ages, conditions and hometowns of the two were not known Saturday afternoon.

Keegan said the two will first be taken to OMC and could be transferred to another hospital based on the seriousness of their injuries.

Clallam County Fire District No. 3 and the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office both responded.
