Two free public concerts in Sequim, Port Townsend this weekend

This weekend’s schedule of free public music on the North Olympic Peninsula:

SEQUIM — Saturday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Navy Band Northwest’s Concert Band (standards, Broadway and movie favorites, marches) at the outdoor James Center for the Performing Arts amphitheater in the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, just north of Carrie Blake Park.

Bring your own seating to the grassy expanse, plus family and a picnic.

PORT TOWNSEND — Sunday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Port Townsend Summer Band (classics, tunes from Broadway and the movies plus marches).

The band will play in Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave. in Port Townsend.

Seating will be available in the church’s sanctuary area.
