SPORTS: Huge Cascade Christian manhandles Chimacum in boys basketball action Tuesday night

PUYALLUP — The Nisqually League-leading Cascade Christian Cougars used their size to control the Chimacum Cowboys this time around.

Chimacum won the first meeting at home earlier in the year when the Cowboys shot the ball better but 6-foot-10 Shawn Spencer and two 6-4 forwards were too much the second time around in a 61-46 Cascade win.

“We played pretty good in the first half but the third quarter really hurt us,” coach Jim Eldridge said.

The Cougars led 32-24 at the break but a 19-5 third-period advantage blew the game open.
