Law enforcement officers went door-to-door Wednesday in Jefferson County searching for residents with active warrants for their arrests.
They apprehended two people in Brinnon.
Officers with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Port Townsend Police Department and Washington State Patrol went to homes and businesses to find more than 30 of the 600 people wanted in Jefferson County.
The six-hour effort involved more than eight officers and specifically targeted those wanted for drunken driving-related charges.
Police arrested a 44-year-old Brinnon man and a 40-year-old Brinnon woman on warrants for driving while under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
Law enforcement officers declined to release the names of the alleged lawbreakers, who will be arraigned today in Jefferson County District Court.
Yellow fliers were also placed on ten unanswered doors telling suspects, “We Are Looking For You.”
