PORT ANGELES — Public comment on proposed amendments to the Port Angeles shoreline master program will be accepted for a month beginning Monday.

Comments can be sent through March 30 at 5 p.m. to Emma Bolin, city community development manager at ebolin@cityofpa.us or 321 E. 5th St, Port Angeles. They will be forwarded to the state Department of Ecology.

In addition, a public hearing is set for 6 p.m. March 10. The joint local/state public virtual hearing can be accessed at www.cityofpa.us/Live-Virtual- Meetings. A toll-free phone number for audio only is 1-844-992-4726. The access code is 182 320 6212.

The city has prepared draft amendments to keep the plan current with changes in state law, changes in other city plans and regulations, and other changed local circumstances, the city said.

To review the plan, with the proposed amendments, go to https://tinyurl.com/pashorelineplan or to city offices on Fifth Street,

The city, which is the lead agency, has determined that the amendments do not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment and that an Environmental Impact Statement is not required.
