PORT TOWNSEND — With the help of Port Townsend firefighters, Santa Claus has traded in his reindeer for a John Deere.
The jolly elf, decked out in his red and white attire, set foot downtown earlier this month aboard the fishing vessel Cape Flattery, straight from the North Pole.
Now, riding a sleigh filled with stuffed toys, he’s been seen behind firefighter Justin Clouse’s 1954 farm tractor singing Christmas carols.
Clouse is accustomed to driving around red fire trucks with flashing lights. But now he’s towing a red sleigh and a reindeer named Rudolph with a bright red nose.
