PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson General Hospital officials are expecting a construction company to foot a $1 million bill to replace improperly installed windows in a nine-year-old annex building.
Problems with the windows were discovered more than a year ago when a leak was noticed, hospital Administrator Vic Dirksen said Wednesday.
Contractors examining the problem found the windows were installed incorrectly throughout the building.
“I don’t know for sure what the cost will be,” he said.
But he added about the $1 million price: “I think it could be more than that, but I don’t think it would be less than that.”
