PORT TOWNSEND — The fourth annual Port Townsend Film Festival will have a guest star and a “Guess the Guest” contest again this year.
Festival director Peter Simpson announced Tuesday that a celebrity guest has accepted an invitation to appear at the film festival, which runs Sept. 26, 27 and 28.
Simpson had indicated earlier that financial constraints — last year’s festival finished $30,000 in the red — would preclude continuing the tradition of a personal appearance by a guest star.
Last year, Richard Whittier of Sequim won two tickets to the film festival, along with an invitation to a reception and a photo with Patricia Neal, who he correctly identified as the guest star.
