PORT TOWNSEND — One hundred people hit the streets of Port Townsend Saturday for AIDS Walk 2003, raising $4,000 to support people and their families in the local community whose lives are affected by the illness.
The walk, which began at Chetzemoka Park was the 10th event sponsored by Jefferson AIDS Service.
In the opening ceremony, Mayor Kees Kolff, honorary chairperson, read a proclamation declaring Saturday on Jefferson County AIDS Service Awareness Day.
