Port Angeles woman dies in a single-car wreck

FORKS — A Port Angeles woman died when her car hit a tree off U.S. Highway 101 on the West End early Saturday morning.

Kelsey N. Linsenbardt was 28 years old.

She was driving southbound on Highway 101 near milepost 170 near the Hoh River at 12:35 a.m. when her car left the road to the right and collided with a tree, the State Patrol said.

The Ford Fusion came to rest in the wood line and caught fire, troopers said.

Linsenbardt died at the scene, troopers said.

The cause of the wreck remained under investigation, the State Patrol said in the memo it issued on Saturday.

It was unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved, the State Patrol memo said.

Linsenbardt, who was traveling alone, was wearing a seat belt, trooper said.

Her car was completely destroyed.
