PORT ANGELES — Two people were rescued Thursday afternoon after falling over a steep embankment below Little River Road.
A man and woman had scrambled about 200 feet down a gradual slope near the road, west of Port Angeles, when they reached a cliff and both fell, said Clallam County Sheriff’s Sgt. Don Kelly, the department’s search and rescue coordinator.
“He told me that he had fallen first and the next thing he knew she was tumbling after him,” Kelly said.
