Port Angeles Downtown Association members have scheduled a special meeting at 6 p.m. today to discuss the parking structure proposal presented to city of Port Angeles leaders.
The meeting is at the Cornerhouse Restaurant meeting room, 101 E. Front St.
San Diego and Seattle developer Randal J. Ehm proposes the parking structure to support his plan to build a hotel and conference center on the Port of Port Angeles’ property fronting Oak and Front streets.
The proposed $5.5 million garage of at least two stories is intended to ease downtown parking lost with the construction of the hotel-conference center the International Gateway transportation center proposed by the city of Port Angeles and Clallam Transit.
