PORT ANGELES — Those who enjoy eating a hearty Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings had a chance Wednesday to enjoy the meal a day early, courtesy of the Port Angeles Corps of the Salvation Army and its cadre of volunteers.
The Salvation Army hosted an early Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday for about 150 people at the Salvation Army Community Center, located at the intersection of Second and Peabody streets.
“We served 150 people last year. We anticipate at least that many this year, probably more,” said Salvation Army Maj. Hal Hads.
“Everybody had such a good time last year, they wanted to come back,” he said.
